Here is a list of some equipment and bench projects in my shack.
- YAESU FT-101E. Purchased new in 1978, when I was a teenager. Spent a lot of time on this rig, mostly 15M CW. Couldn't part with it! Still works well, but lots of birdies.
- METEX MS-9170 Universal Test System . Website tequipment.net. Includes a variable/fixed DC Power supply, 0-2MHz Function Generator, 1 GHz Frequency Counter, and Digital Multimeter. I got this combo 'cause it put a lot of functionality into one box.
- Protek 6506 60MHz Oscilloscope - analog, dual-trace.
- Elecraft K3 rig , SN#331, with 2M internal module. I love the rig. Elecraft is the best.
- Begali Simplex Pro , K8RA P2jr, Elecraft HexKey
- Weller WES51 Soldering Station. This was an upgrade from my old RadioShack pencil irons. What a difference!
- ASTRON SS-30M. 30Amp switching power supply
- LP-100 wattmeter. Website: telepostinc.com
- BigIR quarter-wave vertical 40M-6M The antenna sits 150' away, in my backyard, with 40 radials each about 40' long. To connect the radials I used XXX plate.
- Homebrew Neophyte receiver for 80M
- DDS developement kit. Website: kitsandparts.com
- W8BH shack license
- K40 CW Keyboard Keyer with RTTY module, by K1EL
- Kester-44 solder, 1lb. spools of 0.031" and 0.015"
- Soldering/Building area. On the bench is my iron, a selection of tools including a "third-hand" tool, and a flat wooden component tray.
- 12V SLA rechargable batteries.
- MFJ-259B Antenna Analyzer
- Heil Goldline microphone
- Moving box = my garbage can. Gets lots of use.
- Old Radioshack speaker. More than 30 years old. Got lots of use in my teenage shack. Couldn't throw it away.
- M3 semiconductor analyzer. Website: http://www.m3electronix.com. This was a very useful FDIM buildathon project.
- This old poster-presentation banner doesn't have anything to do with ham radio. It got stuck there and it hasn't moved.
- QRPme kits by W1REX. website: qrpme.com I have several of these, including the TunaTin II and the AXme
- Atlas LCR40 meter by Peak Electronic Design Lts website: http://www.peakelec.co.uk This is an incredibly useful little meter. Compact design.
- The "Multi-DC" by LDG electronics. This little power distribution block has been discontinued. Big powerpole blocks are in vogue now. I needed a small block for distributing small currents, so this one works FB for me.
